Heidi Knight Originals
Portrait artwork commissioned exclusively for your beautiful life.
One-of-a-kind artwork for your family, designed to elevate and personalize your life. Every Heidi Knight Original begins with a photograph created during your commissioned portrait session.
From there, the image is digitally painted and printed on archival canvas using museum-grade inks. Layers of acrylic and oil paints are then applied by hand, creating texture, depth, and dimension that can be seen and felt.
The finished piece preserves the likeness of the original portrait while adding the texture, depth, and character that can only come from an artist's hand.
No two Heidi Knight Originals are alike because each piece is custom-created and hand-finished only for you.
"Heidi has more than exceeded our expectations. She has gone above and beyond what we imagined. She guided us through the entire process and made everything easy."
— Abby L.

Crafting a Legacy Portrait
A commissioned portrait is more than artwork.
It is a reflection of the people, relationships, and moments that matter most.
Long after seasons of life have changed, the artwork remains. It becomes part of a legacy and a reminder of what mattered most during that chapter of life.
"I never thought I would invest in a commissioned portrait, but from the first conversation Heidi made the whole thing feel completely natural. The finished piece is extraordinary. It hangs in our living room and I genuinely stop and look at it every single day."
— Kimberly W.
Designed for the Family
Every Heidi Knight Original begins long before the portrait session and continues long after it. Artwork is designed with the finished display location in mind from the very beginning, helping families select the ideal size, style, and placement for their family and the story being told. The result is a custom artwork that feels intentional, personal, and perfectly suited to the space where it will be enjoyed every day.
The Experience
Every commission begins with a conversation.
Together, we'll discuss the artwork you envision. From planning and creation through delivery and installation, every detail is considered so the finished piece feels as though it was always meant to be in your family.
Original Portraits for the People & Seasons That Matter Most
A Heidi Knight Original may preserve an entire family, one child at a particular age, or a milestone that deserves more than a collection of photographs. Each commission is planned around the people being portrayed, the place the artwork will live, and the story the finished piece should continue to tell.

Created for Families Who Believe the People They Love Belong on Their Walls
Hand embellished on archival canvas and finished with exceptional attention to detail, each piece is designed to become part of the story unfolding within.
Each commission is personally created. To ensure every piece receives the attention it deserves, only a limited number of projects are accepted each year.
The Artist behind the Artwork
Long before I created artwork for clients, I created it for my own home.
As a mother, I understand how quickly childhood changes and how easily photographs disappear into phones, computers, and hard drives. I wanted something more lasting. Something I could enjoy every day.
That desire for my own family eventually became the foundation of my work.
Today, I create original portrait artwork for families who want more than a photograph. They want original artwork that celebrates the people they love most and becomes part of their legacy.
~ Heidi
Collector Pieces
Designed for collectors who appreciate original artwork.
Some pieces become the focal point of a room. Others quietly become part of the spaces where life unfolds every day.
Each one is created as a one-of-a-kind Heidi Knight Original.
A Heidi Knight Original wall portrait is the starting point of each portrait session. Albums and smaller printed pieces are available after the wall portrait has been selected. These pieces are often chosen for parents, grandparents, or family members who want something meaningful from the session in addition to the main artwork.
Only a limited number of portraits are accepted each year, so each piece receives the planning and hand-finishing it deserves. Inquire early to discuss availability.
