Designed exclusively for children from infancy through age eighteen, each commission centers on creating one finished portrait that can be enjoyed today and appreciated for generations to come.

The Heirloom Collection is intentionally simple.
Every commission is created in the studio where light, composition, and every small detail can be carefully controlled. The goal isn't to produce dozens of images or document an afternoon together. The goal is to create one portrait that still feels timeless when your child is grown.
The studio removes distractions. There is no weather to chase, no changing light, and no busy background competing for attention. The focus remains where it belongs—on your child and the portrait we are creating together.
From our first conversation to the finished artwork, every decision is made with that portrait in mind.
The Experience
Every Heirloom Collection commission includes a personal consultation, a studio portrait sitting for one child, an artwork design appointment, and one handcrafted 11×16 Heirloom Canvas Portrait.
Each portrait is produced using museum-quality archival giclée printing on fine art canvas, professionally mounted, individually signed by Heidi Knight, and prepared for custom framing.
The finished piece is designed to become part of your home rather than something stored away on a hard drive.
Why Childhood?
Children change more quickly than any other season of life.
A four-year-old and a six-year-old may only be separated by two birthdays, but they are often entirely different children. Their expressions, confidence, interests, and even the way they look at the world evolve almost overnight.
Those changes are easy to miss while you're living them.
A portrait gives you the opportunity to hold on to one small piece of that season before it becomes another memory.
