The Portrait Collection
Portraits as Extraordinary as the People in Them
Some stories deserve a little more room to unfold.
The Portrait Collection was created for those who want the freedom of photographing in a location that holds meaning, whether that's beneath the oak trees of the Texas Hill Country, in the streets of a favorite town, on family land, or somewhere that reflects who you are.
Designed for one subject, every Portrait Collection begins with a complimentary consultation and a custom portrait session planned around the finished artwork you want to enjoy for years to come.
The Experience
Every Portrait Collection begins with a complimentary consultation where we'll talk about the person being photographed, locations, wardrobe, and the feeling you want your finished portrait to have. Rather than choosing a location simply because it's pretty, we'll select one that adds meaning without competing for attention.
Portrait sessions are relaxed and thoughtfully planned, allowing time to create one extraordinary portrait rather than rushing from place to place or trying to capture hundreds of images. Every decision is made with the finished artwork already in mind.
After your portrait session, you'll return for a private Portrait Presentation. Heidi will present the commissioned portrait created from your session and help you determine the finished size and presentation for your home.
Every Portrait Collection includes a beautifully finished 16×24 archival canvas, with the opportunity to commission larger artwork, albums, or gift portraits if you choose.
Included in Every Portrait Collection:
Complimentary consultation
Custom studio or on-location portrait session for one subject
Private Portrait Presentation
Signed 16×24 archival photographic canvas wall portrait
Why Choose the Portrait Collection?
The Portrait Collection offers the freedom to create in places that help tell the story.
A favorite ranch. A quiet downtown street. A field at sunset. The family property that's been home for generations.
Location should never distract from the portrait, but when thoughtfully chosen, it becomes part of the story and gives the finished artwork an even deeper sense of meaning.
Build Your Collection
Many families choose to expand their commission with a handcrafted album, larger wall artwork, or gift portraits for grandparents and family members.
Your Portrait Collection is designed around one finished wall portrait, with additional artwork available if you decide you'd like to preserve more of your portrait experience.
Is the Portrait Collection Right for You?
The Portrait Collection was created for families who want beautifully crafted artwork with the flexibility of choosing either a meaningful outdoor location or a timeless studio setting. Whether your vision includes a favorite place in the Texas Hill Country, family land, downtown Wimberley, or the simplicity of the studio, every commission is thoughtfully planned around creating a finished piece that feels personal and enduring.
Each commission is designed around one primary subject and includes a signed 16×24 archival canvas as the foundation of your artwork. If you'd like to celebrate the people or pets who are part of the story, additional subjects may be included in the finished piece, allowing you to create artwork that reflects the relationships that matter most.
If your vision is centered on an individual studio commission, the Heirloom Collection offers a beautifully simple experience.
Looking for Something Even More Personal?
Some families are drawn to artwork that goes beyond the photographic image. Heidi Knight Originals are individually commissioned mixed-media works of art, digitally painted and hand-finished to create a one-of-a-kind portrait unlike any other.
